Green Dream was nominated for the Green Screens Award, recognizing film and television works which display best environmental practices.
The film played yesterday for the first time ever to an audience on a big screen. Those who attended were the members of the crew, participants in the film, family and friends. I was also happy to see a nice representation of Bulgarians in the audience.
We were able to secure a cinema in Concordia (De Sève Cinema). The cinema seats 150 people and offers an intimate experience for a premiere. We had a great turn out with the cinema almost full.
Lina Shoumarova set a great tone as the presenter and moderator for the evening.
It was amazing to have the full cinematic experience, see the film on the big screen in a Digital Cinema Print (DCP) Format, hear the theatrical sound mix that Federico O'Reilly worked on, and share that with a warm and friendly audience. We finished with a long question and answer period.
Thanks to everyone who came and to the many people who helped to make the event possible most notably Thomas Kneubühler. Thanks to Phillip Hawes and Douglas Moffat for their technical help with creating the DCP. And thanks to Igor Rončević, Brigitte Dajczer a.k.a. Briga, my niece Maria Iotzov and Manuel Fuchs for their help on the day of the screening.
