Yesterday's screening in Le champ des possibles, was a dream come true.
Showing Green Dream in the most prominent wild green space in Montreal, which was also featured in the film, was a culmination of a long journey of creating a cinematic experience of the nature ofter overlooked in the city. In the field the film fit perfectly into the surroundings, which echoed its message in a subtly powerful way. In the field the film made perfect sense.
The trees from the film were waving in the wind, as the screen they were projected on, stretched between two trees, shook from the evening's chilly breeze, and the trees of Le champ answered back trembling their leaves. As if the whole installation, the mobile bike powered cinema, the screen, the film narrative, the trees, the tall grasses, the people, the quietness of the field and the random sounds from the city were a symphony moving in a beautiful rhythm, nature and culture hand in hand.
