Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending almost the whole day filming in Le champ des possbles, the wild field that the citizens of the Mile End fought to preserve as a park. It was the annual bio blitz, an event for which Les amis du champ invite the community to come and help them create a bio inventory of the field. There were lots of activities from making an inventory of the insects in the field, to counting all the plant species. The Sierra Club led a small group of people through the near by back alleys investigating the plants that lived in these spaces. It was quite a fertile ground for collecting material for Green Dream and I walked out happy with excellent moments captured on camera. This was the last official filming day for me. Now with the 1st rough cut done and this footage to add, I am moving towards the fine cut of the film.
Thanks to Chris Leon for the photos, which captured the spirit of this beautiful Sunday afternoon.
